Ablaze Us is an Alternative Christian band that originally made music only in Finnish. In recent years, however, they have decided to move into some English-speaking Christian alternative music in order to spread their message around the world. The original Finnish band was called kls.
I honestly can’t even remember how I came to know of these guys, but the one English EP I can find is so good. Even if you aren’t the least bit religious, it’s quality music. However, for those of us that are of the Christian faith, their music takes on a whole new level of meaning. The lyrics they’ve come up with are amazing and they tell quite the story.
Their English Ep is called Blind Leading the Blind and consists of four songs:
- Blind Leading the Blind
- Fire Walk With Me
- Fade Away
- Don’t Let Me Go
All of these songs are awesome but it’s the title track that caught my attention originally. It’s the perfect combination of energetic, dramatic, and powerful. It gets your attention without being too dark or disturbing.
Their Facebook page hasn’t had any new activity since 2013, so I’m wondering if maybe this project won’t go anywhere else in the future. That said, I can’t find any information online about a breakup or hiatus, there’s just nothing. Perhaps they’re just focusing on their Finnish music again. Either way, not enough people know about this band, and I think fans of Christian Alternative music especially would dig these four songs.
